Snowmobile FAQs

Common questions

Answered!

  • HOW OLD DO YOU NEED TO BE TO MAKE A RESERVATION?

Individuals must be 21 years old or older.

  • WHEN IS THE BEST TIME TO SNOWMOBILE?

Best time to go snowmobiling is midweek or first thing in the morning. Each night the trails are groomed so the morning riding is awesome. Trails can be flat as a pancake. Many times during the week our tours are lucky to see 10 people on the trails.

  • DO YOU RENT CLOTHING?

Yes, we have all the clothing you need to stay warm. We rent jackets, boots, and pants. We also sell hand and toe warmers. WE DO NOT RENT GLOVES!

  • WHAT DO WE NEED TO WEAR/BRING?

We have a full packing list of recommended items available on our downloads page. Helmets are included with all rentals. You will want to dress warmly.

  • WHAT SHOULD I WEAR TO GO SNOWMOBILING?

Without sounding silly … warm, winter clothes. Dress in layers. Long johns and snow pants are a great starting point. We do not allow anyone to take a tour in jeans & sneakers. A great analogy we use is: imagine driving a motorcycle or convertible with the temperature of 10-20 degrees. Anyone not dressed warm will not go or will need to rent clothing.

  • CAN MY 14-YEAR-OLD SON OPERATE A SNOWMOBILE?

Unfortunately, in the state of New Hampshire, all drivers have to be 16 years of age with a valid drivers license to operate a snowmobile. We further require all self-guided rental drivers to be 21 and up. Guests can be 16 and up with a valid license on guided tours. Individuals 16 and up with a learners permit can operate a single snowmobile in a guided tour only if they take NH OHRV ONLINE SAFETY CLASS. Must be accompanied by legal guardian. They must complete NH OHRV ONLINE SAFETY CLASS prior to arriving.

  • ON A DOUBLE SNOWMOBILE CAN WE SWITCH DRIVERS?

No Switching of drivers once tour begins.

  • DO YOU OFFER PACKAGES WITH LODGING?

Yes. We work with a small number of hotels and inns to offer you lodging/rental packages. You can browse and request the basic packages online at our packages page or call if you have more specific questions.

  • I HAVE A LARGE GROUP THAT WOULD LIKE TO RENT. CAN YOU ACCOMMODATE US?

We can accommodate larger groups. Please contact us well in advance to discuss the options we have, as spaces fill quickly as the season begins. We do not offer any group discounts.    Largest group on a weekend is 12 snowmobiles. Midweek 20 Snowmobile max.  We do not do bachelor parties.

  • WE HAVE PEOPLE IN OUR GROUP THAT DON’T WANT TO SNOWMOBILE. WHAT CAN THEY DO?
